Robin Koerner is a reporter for the Huffington Post who in an article in July 2011 coined a term, Blue Republican, for independents and Democrats who are temporarily registering as Republicans to vote for Ron Paul in the 2012 GOP primary in order to promote policies that Barack Obama was elected on but failed to deliver — to stop the wars abroad, end torture, close Gitmo, end the PATRIOT Act, and stop corporatist bailouts. The Blue Republican Facebook page founded shortly after his articles now has around 8,500 "likes" and 3,200 sactive contributors.
Robin is a 30-something British permanent resident of the USA. He is the founder and publisher of WatchingAmerica.com, an organization of 400 volunteers that is dedicated to translating and posting in English news and views about the USA from all over the world. He holds degrees in physics and philosophy from Cambridge University (UK), has lived on three continents, and has experience in the fields of real estate, teaching and the media.
